Female Liberation #27 Demands

Female Liberation #27 demands, 1970

Female Liberation #27 was a feminist student group based on UNC’s campus in the 1970s. In March of 1970, the group delivered this list of demands to the university administration in an effort to improve the status and treatment of women affiliated with the University. When the Assistant to the Chancellor informed the group that the administration had cancelled a meeting to discuss the demands, the group organized a rally in the Pit to generate student support. Female Liberation #27 also founded the feminist journal Feminary.
