Sounds

There are numerous recordings in the Fiddler's Grove Collection, mostly on open-reel tape. Additionally, the Southern Folklife Collection houses in its other collections a number of recordings made at Union Grove over the last half century, from both the fiddler's festival at Fiddler's Grove and the fiddler's convention at Union Grove. These include LPs, cassettes, 8-track tapes, and CDs, as well as a large number of open reel tapes documenting many of the festivals.

The recordings made available here, including a 2005 interview with Harper and Wansie Van Hoy, are meant to give visitors to the site the feeling of the festival at Fiddler's Grove. For further information on these or other recordings, contact the Southern Folklife Collection.
