Text

(Picture Left)
Mrs. Jane Chrisolm, an islander all of her life, found a very artistic and practical hobby in polishing and painting oyster shells. She explains, "there are faces on all oyster shells; you just have to rub the inside of the shell until it appears." When asked further about the faces on the shells, she replies, “they are the faces of men lost at sea."

(Picture Right)
Mr. Ruben Fripp has acquired the reputation as the fastest shrimp net maker on the island. He is also one of the best. As he walks down any open road, he may stop there and begin his mastered art.
