Dear Mr. White:
lt is my understanding that the Warren County site does not meet the minimum requirements {50 ft. separation from the ground water level) of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) for PCB storage without waivers which the state has requested in its application.
It has been brought out that 90 percent of Warren County's residents relied on wells for their water supply, and based on this fact, there has been vital concern expressed by the citizens of Warren County that EPA should not approve any waiver permitting PCB to be buried on a site with a high water table which could possibly lead to the future contamination of the ground water in Warren County.
Attached also is copy of letter which I wrote to the editor of the WARREN RECORD expressing my views on this matter.
I would appreciate hearing from you in regard to EPA's observations and intent in relation to action to be taken in this controversial matter.
Yours very truly,
John T. Church
