SIX MAIDEN LANE

Dean of the Law School
University of North Carolina
Chapel Hill, N. C.

Dear Sir:

Would you be kind enough to send me your latest catalogue of the University of North Carolina Law School.

I have before me a copy of the resolution passed by the Board of Trustees of the University of North Carolina on about April 4th, with reference to the admission of Negro students in graduate or professional schools. I hold a Master’s Degree in Law from the University of California, and have been considering the possibility of taking a J.S.D. Degree. Please let me know if under your interpretation of Sections I and II of the Board of Trustees' resolution of April 4th whether my application for further graduate work in law would be accepted, if I apply.

Sincerely yours.

Pauli Murray
