FASHIONABLE COUNTRY DANCES

FOR THE YEAR 1814.

THE FIGURES BY Mr. WILSONS.

  Captain Broke's Hornpipe.--Hey on your own sides, lead
down the middle, up again, and right and left with the top
couple.
  The London Waltz.--Whole figure at top, down the middle,
up again, allemande, and lead through bottom and top.
  Angelina.--First lady sets to the second gentleman, and turns
the third, first gentleman sets to the second lady, and turns the
third, down the middle, up again, allemande, and set contrary
corners.
  The Cistern.--First lady turns the second gentleman, first
gentleman turns the second lady, down the middle, up again, and
allemande.
  The Letter.--Set and change sides with the second couple, set
and back again, down the middle, up again, and right and left with
the top couple.
  Come let us all be Merry.--Chain figure six round, lead down
the middle, up again, and allemande.
  The Hamburgh Waltz.--The first lady sets to the second gen-
tleman, and turns the third, first gentleman sets to the second lady,
and turn the third, swing with the right hands round the second
couple, allemande, hands six half round and back.
  The Hackney Coach.--First lady meets and turns the third
gentleman, first gentleman meets and turns the third lady, down
the middle, up again, and right and left with the top couple.
  The Lord Mayor's Waltz.--hands three round on the ladies'
side, hands three on the gentleman's side, down the middle, up
again, right and left, and set contrary corners.
  The Carpenter.--Set and hands across quite round with the
second couple, set and back again, down the middle, up again,
and allemande.
  Lord Aberdeen's Hornpipe.--Set and hands across quite round
with the second couple, and back again, down the middle, up
again, and set to the top couple.
