TO ALL TO WHOM THESE PRESENTS SHALL COME
Greeting:
Whereas it is the ancient right and duty of Universities to
reward meritorious attainments in Scholarship and whereas
Henry McClain Owl
has honorably fulfilled the requirements imposed by the University,
now therefore, We under the authority of the Constitution of the
State of North Carolina have with due form admitted him to the
degree of Master of Arts, granting therewith all the
rights, honors, and privileges thereunto appertaining.
In witness whereof the Seal of the University and the signatures
of the President, Professors and Board of Trustees are hereunto affixed.
Given at Chapel Hill in the State of North Carolina this
thirtieth day of August in the year of our lord 1929 and of this
University the One hundred and thirty-fifth
