NEGRO WOMEN ARE REGISTERING FAST
Outnumber White Women and Overrun Registration Office in Richmond
Richmond, Va., Sept. 18 – Negro women were reported as outnumbering white women nearly three to one at registration headquarters at one time today where they sought to be qualified voters. The negro women have outnumbered the white women in applying for registration since yesterday when Central Registrar Woodson called for aid. policemen being sent to keep the applicants in line after arrangements had been made for segregating the races at registration headquarters.
