Call Meeting.
Pres[iden]t. Battle, Profs. Mangum, Winston, Holmes, Gore, Hume, Henry & Love present.
Pres[iden]t. reported that Wilson Caldwell had been employed as head College servant at $20.00 per month.
In motion Mr. Morehead and P. B. Cox allowed to stand an examination on Math. during the spring term of '86.
The following communication from Prof. Hooper read:
Secretary of the Faculty,
My dear sir,
I have received your letter, conveying Resolutions of the Faculty, with heart-felt emotions.
To have secured the approbation and esteem of my Colleagues, as here so kindly and so warmly expressed, is a support and consolation, in my decline, prized among the most valued of earthly blessings.
